My SLR photography goes back to '72. The D40 DSLR is absolutely one of the most fun & satisfying (size & results) cameras I ever used!

Thank you! I have a few books similar to the 2 you called "must haves." One is for my film Hasselblad (The Hasselblad Manual), the other is for Cine Lenses (The Cine Lens Manual). Since I have a few Nikon cameras: Nikon Nikomat and S3 2000 Limited Edition, those 2 books should complement my Nikon cameras and lenses nicely.

I still have my D1. It’s in pieces though.

I think some of the audio of your video got muted because you're playing music.

Wasted over 2 minutes opening the box and putting batteries in. Never put the antenna up. Never rated the radio and never gave a price. Useless

It"s the 801 hands down ! The AM just sounds fuller , richer and has nice clean highs, great for "talk stations" which is what I want ! the P38 is cheaper yes , which would explain its rather "hollow" sound in my opinion. Thanks SO much for this demo sir, I found a " Brand new" 801 on ebay from a seller in Japan for 149.00 , being SO dissapointed with the 506 that I sent it back to Amazon ! I would highly advise anyone NOT to buy a 506 or 19 unless you want difficult tuning, poor reception and muffled AM ! I"m willing to pay a little extra for great sounding AM and years of listening pleasure !

the hell, on ebay, the icf-801 is now sold for 250usd as cheap, while the 38 goes used for under 20 dollars
